Helping People Return to Active Lifestyles in Bay Area Since 2015.

Hailing from San Francisco, I grew up in the Bay Area and call it my home. Simply,  I love the area, culture, weather, but most importantly the people. As a child I moved constantly, since my father was a missionary pastor, so I can easily state that I grew up living coast to coast but still nothing beats the Bay Area. I went to college at UC Irvine and graduated with a degree in Chemistry. Right after graduation I attended podiatry school at Samuel Merritt College. Everyone asks why I decided to go to medical school after podiatry school. Simple answer is I wanted more…more knowledge, more training, but mostly, I wanted to just be able to provide more for my patients. I attended Wayne State University for my medical degree and completed my orthopedic training at University of Washington. Going full circle I decided to dedicate my subspecialty training towards foot & ankle surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery (ie, Cornell).
I aim to educate my patients in a safe environment while offering them necessary comprehensive care. I understand that many people have anxiety about orthopedic treatment, so I strive towards creating a friendly and collaborative environment and I ensure all of my surgical patients have my personal cell phone and email to ensure they have access for emergencies. By combining the latest technology with evidence based medicine, I aim to give my patients the best orthopedic care in the Bay Area.

Dr. Kim in Peru

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy traveling with my wife, Linda. We try to take annual excursions around the globe, the picture above was taken on Wayna Picchu, its a side hike but provides the most amazing views of Machu Picchu. It was an amazing journey to actually see Machu Picchu in person. I think this trip should be on your bucket list!
